SunRidge Community Church
Gospel of LUKE: Road to Emmaus
Do you ever wonder what people would say at your funeral? Today we see that Jesus is able to do just that. He has a great conversation with two men that think he is dead. We can learn a lot from this story.

What we learn:
1. Jesus PHYSICALLY rose from death
2. We are spiritually BLIND until God opens our eyes
3. Being taught SCRIPTURE opens eyes – specifically in a SMALL GROUP
7 Predictions:
As for you, Bethlehem…seemingly insignificant among the clans of Judah—from you a king will emerge who will rule over Israel on my behalf…
Then blind eyes will open, deaf ears will hear. Then the lame will leap like a deer, the mute tongue will shout for joy
LIVE Generously
Our heart is to partner with our local and international community, supporting their good works and meeting their needs. We invite you to partner with Sunridge Community Church in prayer and finance so we might continue these good works in our communities.

SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS
1. Can you recall a time in your life when God was with you in a tough circumstance even though you didn’t know it?
2. Read Luke 24:13-35
3. Why do you think these disciples missed the significance of ‘the third day’? Seems they knew something and yet missed the significance of the empty tomb.
4. What does Jesus say about scripture? Who is it about? Do you see scripture this way? Why?
5. For a person to see the truth of their need for God what has to happen? What is our job and what is God’s job?
6. If the risen Jesus is of ‘first importance’ (1 Cor:15) how should this play out in your life? Does it? Why is that?
7. What do you believe God is asking you to do as a result of this truth? How will you do that?
