Eschatology is from two Greek words, eschatos, meaning “last,” and logos, meaning “the word.” Therefore, eschatology is “the study of the last word.” It’s as if Jesus says, “I’ve got one more thing to pass on to you.”
THE ALREADY AND NOT YET-this is the concept that the kingdom of God has truly come, but not in its fulness. The personal promises of a new heart are fulfilled among those who believe in Jesus’ first coming; the world promises of a new world wait for their fulfillment in Jesus’ second coming.
“If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.” C.S. Lewis
1. Christ is coming back in power and glory.

“Are we in the end times, are we in the last days?”
YES and NO. The “last days” is synonymous with the Already but Not Yet.” It describes the entire period between Jesus’ first and second coming. The “End Times” is the end of the Last Days. The image this creates is that of a hourglass with its sand slowing running out.

3. Christ is coming back to bring you home.
Considering the Return of Christ tells us where we are; in a unique time of history when the Kingdom has come and the promise of a new heart is available for all who believe. It also tells me who I am—the bride of Christ. It also tells me where I am going—I am going HOME.
