One Life to Live: Moderation
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Can eating right and taking care of our bodies be a form of worship? If our bodies are the temple of God, should we treat them like a trash can? We are going on a journey as a church family: We're getting healthy! We're going to take care of the temple so that we can do the work of God with lots of energy, long term! God wants to use us in his Kingdom work on this earth. But if we're too tired, or we exit early because we didn't take care of our body, we will have missed out on what God wanted to do in us and through us! Let's learn to take care of the temple in this sermon series: ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

You are God's base of operations for good works He wants to get done.
1. Moderation is a good thing THAT IS HARD TO FIND.
-God made good things.
-The saying, "everything in moderation".
There is no moderation for sin.
2. Food is a good thing THAT CAN TAKE AWAY FUTURE BLESSINGS.
a. I MAKE MISTAKES when I'm hungry.
b. I have to HAVE A PLAN in order to eat right.
c. I will eat what is AVAILABLE.
-You don't eat what you don't have. You only eat what is available. Make the right food available.
-Only shop on the outside aisle of the grocery store.
-If it grows on a plant, eat it. If it's made in a plant, don't eat it.
-If God made it with its own wrapper, it's probably good for you.
-Good food will START TO TASTE GOOD.
-You will START TO FEEL GOOD.
-Your mind will BE TRANSFORMED.
-Your body will BE TRANSFORMED.
3. Comfort is a good thing THAT WILL KILL US.
Pick one (or more): EVALUATE. ACTIVATE. MODERATE. ELIMINATE.
