Last Sunday we talked about being a Disruptor as a good thing.
The disciples in the book of Acts were following a heavenly King and lived their lives from a different kingdom. They were ambassadors from another world. The world was not their home. They began to bring the mindset and ways of the kingdom to the earth.
“These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. 7 Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king—Jesus.” Acts 17:6-7 NKJV
Upside down: to stir up, excite, unsettle, to upset, to rise up and remove what has been established
The world is not your home! We are like Abraham The Hebrew, “A crossed over one!”
Hebrews 11:10NLT Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.
2 Corinthians 5:20 NLT So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!"
We as ambassadors from another world have all been given the same ministry to bring those disconnected and reconcile them to God.
The same people who were once disconnected and reconciled are made into a new person they are so joined with Jesus that when they speak it is just like He is speaking.
Every believer has the ministry of evangelism!
2 Corinthians 5:18-19 TLV18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Messiah and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. 19 That is, in Messiah God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them; and He has entrusted the message of reconciliation to us
The ministry of reconciliation however is not cheap or free! It cost Jesus His life and it costs your life too!
The mindset of cheap grace needs to be exchanged for God’s triplets of justice, mercy & faith. You will find these three elements of the Torah present in almost every story in the bible. The Lord is good and His mercy endures forever. The gospel message is one that satisfies both mercy and justice through faith in Jesus our Messiah and the kinsman redeemer.
Jesus was from Judah who redeemed Ephraim and the fallen House of Israel. The gentiles were given access to a new covenant because in Ephraim was the fullness of the gentiles and nations.
God gives grace to the humble, those who have ears to hear. Also to those who will repent when they find out about God’s goodness and the price that Jesus paid to reconcile and redeem them. But it still will cost everything to be a follower of Christ.
Luke 14:26NLT "If you want to be my disciple, you must hate everyone else by comparison--your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters--yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.
Hate: To love less. You must love everything and anyone less than Jesus.
He must be our first love!
We are probably all not hearing this teaching much on a Sunday!
Matthew 10:32-38Message 32-33 “Stand up for me against world opinion and I’ll stand up for you before my Father in heaven. If you turn tail and run, do you think I’ll cover for you?34-37 “Don’t think I’ve come to make life cozy. I’ve come to cut—make a sharp knife-cut between son and father, daughter and mother, bride and mother-in-law—cut through these cozy domestic arrangements and free you for God. Well-meaning family members can be your worst enemies. If you prefer father or mother over me, you don’t deserve me. If you prefer son or daughter over me, you don’t deserve me.38-39 “If you don’t go all the way with me, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve me. If your first concern is to look after yourself, you’ll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you’ll find both yourself and me.
Jesus is actually quoting from Micah 7:6 It talks about not trusting in flesh because they will betray you. In the next verse Micah says to look and wait only to Yahweh God for salvation, health, deliverance, help or victory.
· What is the litmus test for loving God?
1 Corinthians 8:3NLT But the person who loves God is the one whom God recognizes.(knows)
Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me.
This is talking about wisdom of God that is the pearl of great price Jesus described as what the Kingdom was like.
God loves everyone but spiritual intimacy is reserved for those who love him back. Those who receive the kingdom as a pearl of great price willing to give up everything of the world for it.
Matthew 13:4545 “Again, the kingdom of heavenis like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
The pearl of God’s wisdom is His way of life and it is worth more than anything the world has to give. Satan offered Jesus three things from the world, provision, position and power. Jesus responded to the devil with “it is written”.
Provision, Position and Power without spiritual intimacy with God and His love is vanity.
Proverbs 8:11GW
Because wisdom is better than jewels. Nothing you desire can equal it.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 HCSB When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is: fear God and keep His commands, because this is for all humanity.
1 John 2:15 GNTDo not love the world or anything that belongs to the world. If you love the world, you do not love the Father.
What did Jesus say about the proof of love?
John 14:15 TLV 15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
John 14:2121 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and [a]manifest Myself to him.”
John 15:109 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
2 john 1: 6Thisis love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.
The commandment from the beginning is actually referring to God and Man in the Garden of Eden at the beginning of creation. It was in the garden that God gave man the commandment. Adam and Eve chose not to love God by disobeying His commandment.
The proof of love is in obedience. The proof of not loving is in disobedience.
According to Jesus there are two commandments that all the Torah and prophets are hanging(suspended) on.
Matthew 22:35-4035 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”
37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment.39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
The word Jesus used for hang is the same word used to hang Jesus on the cross.
Jesus on the cross-demonstrated perfect love by obeying full all the commandments found in the Torah and the Prophets.
Jesus with each arm stretched hung the Torah and Prophets united in one act of Love. Jesus was also demonstrating that the Torah and Prophets are actually God’s love letter to mankind. They are full of justice, mercy & faith.
Hanging on the Cross-is Grace, Law & Prophets all combined as one sacrifice of Pure Love to restore the broken in brokenness.
Nehemiah 1:55 And I said: “I pray, Lord God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love [a]You and observe [b]Your commandments,
1 John 5:2-3 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—[a]our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Deuteronomy 11:1NKJV“Therefore you shall love the Lord your God, and keep His charge, His statutes, His judgments, and His commandments always.
If we are going to be disruptors to the darkness we have to walk in the light of the word and God’s commandments.
Psalm 119:44-48,NLT44 I will keep on obeying your instructions(Torah) forever and ever.45 I will walk in freedom, for I have devoted myself to your commandments.46 I will speak to kings about your laws, and I will not be ashamed.47 How I delight in your commands! How I love them!48 I honor and love your commands. I meditate on your decrees.
Psalm 119:124-130NLV 124 Act in Your loving-kindness toward Your servant, and teach me Your Laws.(Torah) 125 I am Your servant. Give me understanding so I may know Your Law.(Torah) 126 It is time for You to work, Lord, for they have broken Your Law(Torah). 127 I love Your Word more than gold, more than pure gold. 128 And so I look upon all of Your Law(Torah) as right. I hate every false way.
129 Your Laws(Torah) are wonderful, and so I obey them. 130 The opening up of Your Word gives light. It gives understanding to the child-like.
Are you ready to be a disruptor? I know you are, so let’s together sync and get a download for the Holy Spirit and Jesus and ask Him to teach us How to love Him by keeping His commandments.
Psalm 19:7 VOICE
The Eternal’s law(Torah) is perfect, turning lives around. His words are reliable and true, instilling wisdom to open minds
It time for us all to start working in the Father’s fields. The ministry of reconciliation will be done by the disruptive ambassadors who come from another kingdom and world!
