THE INVOCATION:
P: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
C: Amen.
WE CONFESS OUR SIN AND RECEIVE GOD’S FORGIVENESS:
P: Almighty God, we confess our many sins in doing those things You have forbidden, and not doing what You have commanded. You have called us into a living faith—one that shares all the blessings received. Lord, we have not always shared the hope you place in our hearts and in our homes. Forgive our blindness to Your vision for mission, our deafness to Your call to go, our failure to run with a sense of urgency.
C: Cleanse us with Your full and free forgiveness and challenge us by Your Spirit’s call to run a new path with clear vision for Your saving mission, for the sake of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
P: Almighty God has had mercy on us and has given His Son to die for us, and for His sake has forgiven us all our sins. Power to become the children of God is given to all who believe in the name of Jesus Christ and they receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is sure and certain, that whoever believes and is baptized shall be saved.
C: Amen.
PSALM OF THE DAY………….......Psalm 33:18-22
P Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him,
C: on those who hope in his steadfast love,
P: that he may deliver their soul from death
C: and keep them alive in famine.
P: Our soul waits for the Lord;
C: he is our help and our shield.
P: For our heart is glad in him,
C: because we trust in his holy name.
P: Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
C: even as we hope in you.
P: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit;
C: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
PRAYER OF THE DAY
P: Empower us, O Lord, by Your Holy Spirit, that we may be a light to others, shining the Gospel of Your truth into each of our relationships. Enable us to live in such a manner that others would see through us the hope and joy of living in You. We pray this in Your powerful name.
C: Amen.
