Training Plan

The story of David and Goliath is not just an exciting story of a brave young shepherd taking on an enemy at great odds. This story is about you and me facing our own giants in our lives. God has put us through unique trials and experiences to prepare us for the giants in our lives today. If we are brave enough to look at the victories both big and small in our past we will recognize that we have been in training for the bigger battles of today.

Robert Stevenson Bio
Expand
Robert Stevenson was born in South African in 1965 to third generation white African parents. His father became head of the English department at our Helderberg College the Adventist College in the Western Cape Province of South Africa and that is where Rob spent his formative years.
In 1979 the Stevenson family immigrated to the United States and settled in Berrien Springs where his father jointed the ministry for the Michigan Conference. Mr. Stevenson attended Andrews Academy, then Cedar Lake Academy and graduated from Andrews University with a degree in Psychology and Religion. He later earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi.
After College Rob worked as a boy’s dean, campus chaplain, vice principal then principal of several Adventist Junior, Senior and Boarding Academies across the United States.
While working in schools, he was blessed as a capable and inspired public speaker who loves to share his love for the Lord and Adventist Christian education. He is most happy working with students, preaching, teaching, and conducting weeks of prayer and evangelistic series.
Rob was married to Tina Watten in 1988 and they have two children a son Alexander 25 who lives in Chattanooga TN, and a daughter Sheree 23 who lives in Kettering Oh. Mr. Stevenson is currently the principal of Tampa Adventist Academy but will be our principal at Sawgrass Adventist School starting in the 2017-2018 school year.

We have several families with the same last name, so if you want to have an accurate tithe report at the end of the year, please be specific regarding your name and address.

If we can't read your name or you don't give us an address, unfortunately, we can't provide you with a tax receipt.
