Philippians Week 11: Contentment and Financial Partnership
The book of Philippians in the New Testament is a personal letter from the Apostle Paul to the Christians in the Greek city of Philippi. It conveys the heart of Paul towards people he loves deeply, and contains an incredible amount of practical information for us who desire to follow Jesus closely. Philippians Week 11: Contentment and Financial Partnership
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IZtGM9AVJBodT1-cmS_Hf_Br8lJTY-QiQsISp_xfa8M/edit?usp=sharingIn a Growth Group, or with friends around the table or in the car, use these questions to help apply the sermon to life and take your next steps toward Jesus!
1. Have you experienced both abundance and scarcity? If so, how has that helped you become content, or is that still something you are struggling with?
2. Is contentment just limited to material things, or to other areas of life as well? If so, what are examples?
3. How you experience things is more important than what you experience. Agree or disagree? How does this statement relate to “I can do all things through Christ?”
4. What has been your most productive / fruitful Gospel partnership experience? (could be financial partnership, physical involvement, etc.)
5. When you think about giving as a “sacrifice” what differences do you draw from the sacrifices of the Old Testament? What is similar?
6. What specific personal testimony can you give of God supplying your need?
7. What has been your greatest “take away” from the book of Philippians?
