Albert Einstein said "Never lose a Holy Curiosity." A modern pop diva whose dad was a evangelical pastor said, "we were not allowed to be curious because it showed we doubted and had no faith." So today we want to explore the truth about faith and curiosity.

Moses was curious. Why is a question of curiosity. God called out to him because Moses was curious.

The young man was curious and asked the what questions. Jesus answered his what question. Interestingly Jesus was not mad about the question. Jesus was sorrowful about the man's response to the answer. He was curious but did not like the answer.

Zacchaeus asked the who question. He was saved because He found out who Jesus is and Zacchaeus repented.

So what is unholy curiosity?

It is when you ask but don't wait for the reply and make judgements based upon your own thoughts.

Finite beings worshiping an infinite God. If we are not curious about God, then we limit the discovery of who He is. If we think Faith and Curiosity cannot co-exist then we reduce ourselves to what we already know. Good curious questions lead to depth in a relationship.

Anxiety is looking into the future without faith in God. Curiosity is looking into the future with faith expectantly wanting to see God's answer and character.
