Welcome to Agincourt Church this morning! We're so glad you have joined us today.

See below for a short article from Pastor Jonathan, teaching notes and announcements.
This time of year reminds us of new life, fresh starts and the end of winter! What if, during this spring season, you chose to consider some new ideas about God, new pathways towards God and even a new level of connection to Jesus?

Over the next few weeks, we will explore some of the more dif cult questions surrounding God in our series; “Go Ahead and Ask.” Then we will lean into another series called, “It’s Complicated” - where we will explore being single, being married and being a parent etc. as well as the complications associated with trying to change our world and directing our money.

During this month of new beginnings, I encourage you to put your thinking cap on and be open to what God may be saying to you!

Jonathan Smith
Lead Pastor
“For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”

~ 1 Corinthians 13:12
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”

~ 2 Corinthians 4:17
HELL
- unsatisfied consumption
- outer darkness
- absence of God
How can a loving God
send people to hell?
1. GOD DOESN’T SEND ANYONE TO HELL
“...he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

~ 2 peter 3:9b
2. GOD DOES ALL HE CAN
TO SEE US CHOOSE HEAVEN
- CREATION
- SPIRITUAL LONGING
- CONSCIENCE
- BIBLE
- CHRIST
“Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”

~ Romans 1:19-20
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

~ John 3:17
3. WE CHOOSE THE PLACE THAT FITS US IN THE AFTERLIFE
“Then they prayed, ‘Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.’”

~ Acts 1:24-25
THE REAL QUESTION IS NOT:
How can a loving God send people to hell?
THE REAL QUESTION IS:
How can a just God force people to go to heaven against their will?
AND:
How can a loving God allow people into heaven who will insist on messing up heaven the way they messed up earth?
AND:
How can God send people to heaven who have proven they don’t want to be in His presence - they want to live their lives without Him?
What we did with what we were given.
