To those who say faith can be true without deeds, the book of James says don't be so deceived. Faith isn't real it doesn't show love. Even demons believe in a God above. Real faith speaks life, not the poison of hate. Real faith sows peace and the harvest great. Real faith restores the one who's broken, for this is the word repeatedly spoken. Show me faith by your works and I'll show you who can save and raise the dead in you. Real faith works.

Things to think about this week:
1. Has anyone ever shown preferential treatment to someone else over you? How did it make you feel?
2. Why do you think James teaches it is important for us never to show preference to someone just because they are wealthy, talented, or famous?
3. Read Romans 3:23 and James 2:10. Keeping in mind that these verses apply to each one of us, how should we look at others who sin?
4. Based on James 2:13, Do you think God will commend us more for being right or more for being merciful?
