Some things that are not important, but urgent might be: an email notification, an off-topic discussion, a text message about dinner.
Some things that are not important and not urgent might be: Facebook, mindless web-browsing, channel surfing with nothing in particular to watch, snapchat and twitter, and just about everything on social media
We do tend to notice things that fit into the important and urgent category…a fire in the kitchen, hard deadlines for a required project for work or school, an emergency with a family member of friend, a hungry baby
The area Stephen Covey says we must focus on for long-term success, but is also the area to be neglected the most is the category of Important but not Urgent. This category covers things like…long range planning, exercise, personal growth and development.

Obeying God’s will is often inconvenient.
Obedience to God is not going to be safe, easy, or convenient…and the minute it is…is the minute we should probably look at it a little suspiciously. There are times when God opens some amazing doors for us to walk through…but then things become inconvenient. There are other times where God calls us to pursue something and things are inconvenient from the start.
Obeying God’s will often not make sense.
This is slightly different from us not understanding God’s Will…and tends more along the lines of "goes against all logic."

I don’t get it. I don’t understand, at the time, why God wants me to do certain things…I just know that He does. Only later, in hindsight, do we discover meaning in our obedience, but in the middle of things I don’t get it, understand it, and often I don’t want it.
