Some Reasons for Suffering:

* The natural consequences of our own sin
Proverbs 22:8

* The consequences from the sin of others
Life of Joseph in Genesis chapters 37 thru 50

* The results of living in a fallen world
Romans 8:18-21

* Satan is at work
Job's live experience in the book of Job

* We are experiencing God's loving discipline
Hebrews 12:6-11
We must remember God is sovereign:
He works all things accord to His will
