I. Why do people hate the cross so much? Because we want to be king.

II. It is the gospel that calls us to humble ourselves and recognize the sovereignty of our savior and when we do we receive forgiveness of sin.

SERMON TAKE HOME PRINCIPLE:- We need to lay our crowns at the foot of the cross by humbling ourselves and receiving the forgiveness of our sins from the King of kings
