Discussion and Application Questions for Group Life Communities
We invite you to use the following questions as you dig deeper into the ways God equips us to be bold in our witness for HIm.
Read Ephesians 4:1 (Read Ephesians 3:14-4:1)
Observe:
- What is a prisoner for the Lord?
- How do you define calling?
- What does the word, therefore, mean? What did Paul say in the preceding verses that might have influence on the challenge of 4:1?
Interpret:
- In what ways do you consider yourself a prisoner for the Lord? How can someone become a prisoner for the Lord?
- Why would Paul place such an emphatic command for the believers to walk worthy of their calling?
-Paul calls believers – ‘God’s handiwork or masterpiece’ in Eph. 2:10. How does this verse shed light on the understanding of calling?
Apply:
- Has God called you to serve Him is a particular way or a particular vocation?
- Does God call people to only serve in spiritual ways? Do you consider your work a calling from God?
- What 'stands in your way' as you seek to fulfil the calling of God on your life?
- Is there a student or teacher/educator that you could pray for and encourage this week?
