4. Depend on Him for everything.
Give us today the food we need,
Psalm 121:1-2 I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!
Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
5. Get your heart right with God and people.
1 John 1:9 But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you. 14 Then if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.
6. Engage in spiritual warfare.
And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.
Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Nehemiah 4:14b
“Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!”
7. Express faith in God’s ability.
“For yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. Amen.”
Jeremiah 32:17 “O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by Your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for You!
Revelation 5:13
And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang:
