Matthew 5:13-16

ARE YOU A SALTY SAINT?

Matthew 5:13

salt is more valuable than gold
Salt Seasons Things:

"Can that which is unsavory, be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?" (Job 6:6)

Colossians 4:6

Salt Preserves:

Jesus addressed fishermen.
They knew He was talking about the preserving power of salt.
Salt prevents decay and corruption.
It was necessary to salt the fish down to keep them edible.
Salt Heals:

2 Kings 2:20-22 - Elisha puts a curse of salt into deadly, polluted waters. Those waters were healed.


Salt has antiseptic and healing properties to it.
Salt Irritates:

Mk. 9:49 – “For everyone shall be salted with fire."
Salt Penetrates:

THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT WE CAN DO ALL THINGS… THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS US.
Phil. 4:13.

•Appearance / talents / abilities – writing, speaking, encouraging others, financial, teaching, instructing, serving, dealing with others, etc.

•OPPORTUNITIES ARE LIMITLESS.

•Jesus said, “The fields are white unto harvest, but the laborers are few.”

Fellowship lunch

Join us each Sunday after morning services for a carry in lunch. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. There is always plenty of food and fellowship.
