“The Bible is no mere book, but a living creature, with a power that conquers all that oppose it.” the Napoleon

God thinks about us, knows the words in our mouths, knows our thoughts, and searches us out: He is intimately acquainted with all our ways. He gets us (Psalm 139:1-6). Though He needs nothing (Acts 17:25), He LONGS for you (Isaiah 30:18), listens to you (Psalm 4:3), He gives you his full attention (Psalm 116:1-2); we are the apple of his eye (Ps 17:8). AND HE WANTS TO DINE WITH US.

HOW TO HAVE A GOD TIME

1. Get a good Bible (ESV, NLT, NIV)
2. Make an appointment with God.
3. Come to God before you come to God’s word.

"When you read God's word, you must constantly be saying to yourself, It is talking to me, and about me." --Soren Kierkegaard

Attribute #6— The Authority of the Scriptures
We must learn to read the Word of God as the Word of GOD!
4. Study in a way that works for you.
Study a topic
Study a character
Study a book

5. Study to be transformed, not informed.
My 4 questions
1. What is the Bible telling me to believe?
2. What is the Bible commanding me to do?
3. What is the Bible inviting me to feel?
4. What do I need to repent of?

“All of a Christian's life is one of repentance.” Martin Luther
