Today’s Message: Becoming Christlike Stewards
Main Idea: Disciples practice good stewardship of all that God has given to us by using all we have according to His purpose.
Jesus’ Disciples are Good Stewards
God entrusts us to use all He has given to us for His purposes.
Jesus’ Disciples are Good Stewards
Jesus' disciples practice good stewardship by saying ‘no’ to temptations that distract us from God’s mission for our lives, as we say “yes” to living and loving according to God’s word.
Jesus’ Disciples are Good Stewards
Disciples practice good stewardship by living according to God’s instructions in the Bible.
Jesus’ Disciples are Good Stewards
Disciples practice good stewardship by loving others as God loves them.
Jesus’ Disciples are Good Stewards
Disciples practice good stewardship by using the gifts God has given us for what He wants.
God Asks Us to Give Back
God uses our lives - skills, talents, and resources that He provides to us so we can be a part of his God-sized and world-changing plans.
God Asks Us to Give Back
With a perspective of abundance and joyful attitude we give back God’s portion through our tithes, gifts, and offerings.
God Asks Us to Give Back
God is very clear in His challenge to us. When we hold back God’s portion we are only harming ourselves. When we do give back His portion, He will pour out incredible overflowing blessings!
God Asks Us to Give Back
It is God who takes care of our needs, not our self-reliance, so we give back the first and best, as He asks us to do.
Giving Back God's Portion
We are to use it to support the church we attend, through our gifts, tithes (10% of what we earn), and offerings (above the 10%) to cover costs of supplies and materials, salaries, building maintenance, and utilities used to help us become and make disciples.
Giving Back God's Portion
We also give back to God a portion of the time He allots to us by volunteering at our church.
Giving Back God's Portion
Out of the funds received, our church tithes to help other Nazarene churches and their ministries, translations for teaching materials, and retired pastors.
Our Mission
We are a people who join Jesus to make Christlike Disciples in Okinawa!
