I Believe in God but... Don't Trust Others - Pastor Brandon Lemois

God shapes us to look like him mostly in the context of relationships. What does healthy community look like and why is it important in the life of the believer?

What fills our cup? (Matthew 5.17-20)
If Christ Fills our Cup, we can relate to each other in a healthy way. (7.1-12)

We Relate to each other in a Healthy way when we:
1. Entrust others to God (7.1-6)
2. Learn to Ask (7.7-11)
3. Outdo each other in service (7.12)

When we live the way Jesus calls us to live we will become Salt and Light. (5.13-16)

Phil 2.12-16
14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.

Matthew 7:1-12

Philippians 2:12-16

Give Online

The word "tithe" literally means tenth or 10%. Tithing, or giving ten percent of your income, isn't merely giving something to God. It's giving back what was his to begin with. All that we have, or hope to have, comes from him. The Bible says that we worship God with tithing as a reminder that God is the supplier of everything. It teaches us to always put God first in our lives.

Prayer Request?

We believe that Prayer is powerful and can change the world – not just for today but for generations to come. We believe that lives and whole communities are changed forever when we lift up our needs to God in prayer. Please let us know if there is something you would like us to pray for. (Please specify if this is a private request so it is not distributed on our church-wide e-prayer newsletter)
Women's Event

Women of CCC - you're invited to join us for a night of... CCC on Thursday, May 26th at 7pm. Bring up to 10 pieces to swap (clothes or accessories) that you no longer want... too small, too large, too bright, too drab. Bad for you, good for some else (but nice enough that you’d give to your best friend). Bring a friend. Bring a dessert. No clothes to swap? Come join the fun anyway! Email women@communitycovenant.org for additional information.
