Hello new friend :)

Thanks for being our guest today! At Dayspring Community Church of the Nazarene we want you to feel like you’re at home here - kind of like you’ve always been here. But, just in case this is your first time here there are a few things we’d like to share with you. First, we think of ourselves as a family of diverse people from different stories, ages, and cultures. Second, our mission is to help people live like Christ in their homes and communities and you’re welcome to join us. Today, we’ll sing together, pray together, and share in God’s word as we seek to become more like Jesus. We invite you to join in the worship with us! And finally, while you’re here, we’d love to connect with you and answer questions you might have or help you get connected in a group or ministry team. After worship, feel free to stop by the Welcome Center in the foyer and we’ll meet you there!

The act of giving is an integral part of our faith and relationship with God. Over these next four weeks we’ll discuss how giving and stewardship help those who give grow in their walk with Christ. After all, giving does not just benefit those who receive, but those who pour out as well.

Golden Anniversary Party - Jan. 28th Linda and Byron Cox are celebrating 50 years of marriage, and they’d like us all to join the party. Bring a dish to share for lunch immediately after church on the 28th. In lieu of gifts they’re asking for donations for Dawn's liver transplant expenses (see Linda or Byron for more details). Membership Class - Sat., Feb. 3rd @9am If you’ve decided to make Dayspring your home, we couldn’t be more excited and we’d love to make that decision official. Join us for a couple of hours to take a more in-depth look at our beliefs, and how we fit into the global Church of the Nazarene. We’ll introduce new members on Sunday the 18th! Super Bowl Chili Cook-off - Sun., Feb. 4th @5:30pm Sign up in the foyer if you’d like to compete in the chili cook-off, we will have prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. Others please bring something else to share (Last names: A-O side dish; N-Z dessert). We are also using this event to stock the pantry, so please bring a canned good to donate! Baptism Service - Sun., Feb. 11th The commitment to follow Christ is meant to be celebrated and shared with the greater church body. Please speak with one of our staff members if you have made that decision, or are considering, and would like to take the next step of baptism. Alabaster Collection - Sun., Feb. 18th We’ll be collecting Alabaster offerings on Feb. 18th. Store up all that loose change you found cleaning for Christmas parties, and give it to the work of building churches worldwide.
