HEAD TO THE LOBBY!
We were not created to do life alone. Come find community in a Life Group. Made up of 10-15 people, Life Groups meet in homes all over the area in a casual setting to enjoy some food, study the Bible, pray for each other, and share life. It doesn’t matter if you’ve studied the Bible your whole life or you’re new to the whole concept of digging into God’s word. No matter where you’re at in life, Life Groups are a great place for you!

Based on 1 John 2:12-14, this 12-week series outlines three stages of spiritual growth and the milestones that define each stage. Stages of Faith is a pre-requisite for Impact Player. New groups are launching soon.

John 8:21

1 // Going Away – The first thing he says is “I’m going away.”
There’s a clock running on our time to figure out what we believe about Jesus.

2. // Look for Me – The second thing he says is “you will look for me.”
It is our faith in Jesus that determines whether or not we will find him in the end.

3 // Where I Go, You Cannot Go – The third thing Jesus says is “where I go, you cannot.”
Nobody has the ability to get to heaven on their own.

Jesus came to earth on a rescue mission!

John 8:22-23

Our perspective determines our perception.

John 8:24

Those who see "from below" tend to steer away from uncomfortable conversations.

John 8:25-29

Those who see from below tend to ignore truth until it's too late.

John 8:30-32

Trusting in Jesus will give you the perspective to see and experience true freedom.

1 // Trusting Jesus’ claims about himself is all it takes to become a Christian.
Being a disciple of Jesus doesn’t require perfection.

2 // It is only by choosing to trust Christ that you can fully know the truth of who he is.

3 // Knowing Christ will set you free from everything that keeps you from the life God intended for you.

Those who see from below tend to dismiss even obvious reality.

John 8:34-47

Those who see from below are held captive by the devil.

CONCLUSION
What do we do with this? It depends on where you are on the question of who you think Jesus is:

1 // If you don’t believe in Jesus
- What step could I take to change my persepctive?
- Do I have enough belief to start trusting in Jesus?

2 // If you do believe in Jesus
- Am I trusting Jesus in a way that is deepening my "knowledge" of Him?
- Do I look at non-believers with contempt or compassion?
- How can I seek to change a non-believer's perspective rather than his/her mind?
