Joshua 1:1-9
Principle #1: God gives us what we are prepared to receive.
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, “Pass through the midst of the camp and command the people, saying, 'Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you are to cross this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you, to possess it.’” (Joshua 1:10-11 NASB)
Principle #2: God lets us choose the level of blessing we experience in life.
Joshua 1:12-17
Principle #3: God’s power goes hand-in-hand with our purity.
o We are to be pure in our public lives.
“The LORD told Moses, ‘Go down and prepare the people for my visit. Purify them today and tomorrow, and have them wash their clothing.’” (Exodus 19:10 NLT)
o We are to be pure in our private lives.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” (Psalm 139:22-23 NLT)
