Luke 2:10-11
"Christ is Lord"
Our text this morning is a point of important grammar. The words in question are ‘Christ and Lord’. They are in what we call the nominative case, which means they are equated. That’s another way of saying they are one and the same or the equivalent of each other. Why is this important? Because the angel’s message is saying that this messiah who has come is not just a messiah, but The Messiah. He is God!
