17. So Ananias went and entered the house where Saul was staying. He laid his hands on Saul and called to him.

Ananias: Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on your way here, sent me so you can regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

18. At that instant, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see. So he got up, received the ceremonial washing of baptism identifying him as a disciple,

19. ate some food, and regained his strength. He spent a lot of time with the disciples in Damascus over the next several days.

20. Then he went into the very synagogues he had intended to purge, proclaiming,Saul: Jesus is God’s Son!

15 ...When someone lights a lamp, she puts it on a table or a desk or a chair, and the light illumines the entire house.

16. You are like that illuminating light. Let your light shine everywhere you go, that you may illumine creation, so men and women everywhere may see your good actions, may see creation at its fullest, may see your devotion to Me, and may turn and praise your Father in heaven because of it.
