Welcome to Crossroads!

The Crossroads Christian Church family is made up of people from many different backgrounds but we all have one thing in common: we love God and He is at the center of all we do! We believe the Bible is God’s infallible holy Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit and we enjoy coming together to hear His Word and sing praises to Him. Our doors are open to everyone, whether you’ve been attending church your whole life or this is your first time. At Crossroads, you are invited to come however you are. No need to pretend or put on special clothes, we have a casual environment with open arms for everyone. We hope that you will feel uplifted and encouraged to worship however the Holy Spirit leads you…whether it’s standing with your arms raised, clapping along with the music or sitting and spending time in prayer, we want you to be comfortable as you worship and praise God. We’re glad to have you with us this morning. Be sure to join us for donuts and coffee between services!

Our Closer Look Class where you can learn more about Crossroads’ beliefs and philosophy, how it got started and its plans for the future. Childcare and lunch will be provided. You can sign up online (About Us > Closer Look Class) or on the Connection Card as the date gets closer.

For Parents:

· A cry room (The Living Room) is available next to the main bathrooms for parents with young children. You can watch a live stream of the service in this room at 9:15 and 11 a.m. (A private room for nursing moms is located in our toddler nursery.)

· We offer a nursery for infants and toddlers and children’s programming for kids 3 years through 5th grade during our 9:15 and 11 a.m. services. Students in grades 6-12 have their own worship service upstairs in the Loft at 11 a.m.

Stephen Ministry Training to Begin in January

Crossroads will be offering a Stephen Ministry Training Course starting January 10, 2018. This 50-hour training course will train and equip you to serve as a Stephen Minister here at Crossroads. At the completion of the training in May, the new Stephen Ministers will join our present Stephen Ministers in providing one-to-one Christ-centered care to individuals experiencing difficulties in life.

The 50 hours of Stephen Ministry Training is broken down into twenty 2 ½ hour sessions that will be held on Wednesday nights (except PrimeTime nights) at 6:30 p.m. Among the training topics are:

· Feelings: Yours, Mine and ours

· The Art of Listening

· Distinctively Christian Caring

· Assertiveness: Relating Gently and Firmly

· Maintaining Boundaries in Caregiving

· Confidentiality

· Ministering to Those Experiencing Grief

· Caring for People before, during and after Hospitalization

Winter/Spring Small Groups

Winter/Spring Small Groups

Small Group Leaders are such an essential part of our Small Groups Ministry. Without them, we would have no small groups! We are looking for several individuals who would be willing to step up and facilitate a group. If you have an interest in checking out that possibility, please contact Brad Fogo at fogo@crossroads-christian.org or by calling the church office at 913-962-9966.

Even if you want to explore leading a group but have no idea of what curriculum to use, I can help you with that.

The deadline for Small Groups is Dec. 13th. All information submitted afterwards will not meet deadline to be sent to our printer/designer for the small group booklet.

The value of being involved in a Small Group cannot be over emphasized! It is one of the best ways to get to know others in the Crossroads family. It is also a great way to invite your friends and neighbors who do not attend a church to begin getting involved. Through your participation in a Small Group, you get to pour your life into others in your group. However, the greatest benefit is that it’s a wonderful and safe environment to explore scripture together with others who share your hunger for the Word of God.

Sign-ups for the Winter/Spring season of Small Groups will begin December 31 and run through January 7. Then the groups will begin to meet following that.

Crossroads now has access to an extensive, new video library called RightNow Media! It’s like the "Netflix of Video Bible Studies" and has a HUGE library of faith-based videos that you can access whenever and wherever you want—on your phone, iPad, computer, or at home on your TV.
