This last talk, about Christian Certainties, is number 13 in this series. Seven times, John says, “We KNOW!” But, in our post-Christian world, Christian certainty is no longer "in," sexy, or hip. But according to Jesus, and to John, Jesus' first follower, we CAN have Christian certainty.
Disclaimers about Certainty
#1-By certainty, I do NOT mean an arrogant certainty that doesn’t listen or even consider the possibility that our interpretation might be wrong.
#2—Christian certainties are awesome, but not in the “Hey, did you see The Justice League; it was awesome!” The things that we can be certain of, according to Jesus and his first follower, John, are truly awe-inspiring.

Stuff I’ve learned that helps me pray.
(1) The opportunity to pray was purchased by Christ’s blood.
(2) God inclines Himself when His people pray (Ps. 116:2).
(3) Our desires actually matter to God.
