RECAP: When ordinary people take steps of faith we can experience the extraordinary. That's not because we're extraordinary, but because God is and He loves to use ordinary people and do great things in and through us. Elisha was one of those ordinary people. In 2 Kings 4 we see Elisha bring a boy back to life. He was willing to identify with the most vulnerable and be led with compassion to take steps of faith which led to the healing. We're called to take steps of faith as well and lead with compassion for those who are most vulnerable. When we take steps of faith, God will do extraordinary things in and through us.

GROUP QUESTIONS
1. Was there someone or something that you pretended to be when you were growing up? Why do you think you wanted to identify with them?
2. What has been the most impactful or interesting part of this series for you?
3. Do you find it easy or hard to identify with and/or have compassion for those who are most vulnerable or hurting? What keeps you from acting more on what you see and feel?
4. Read 2 Kings 4:18-37. What emotions was the woman feeling? Why did she go to Elisha? How about Elisha - what emotions do we see from him?
5. Where do we see Elisha showing compassion and identifying w/the most vulnerable?
6. How has giving to others and living generously towards those in need helped them and helped you in the past?

PRAYER:
God, help me to be willing to identify with those who are most vulnerable and hurting. Help me to have compassion on others and be willing to be used by you to bring healing, hope and restoration to those in need. Grow my compassion. Grow my heart. Help me to be willing to give you what I have, the faith that I've got and would you use it and multiply it and do the extraordinary in and through my life. Amen.
