Matthew 9:35-38
And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
We must see as Jesus saw.
People without Jesus are harassed.
People without Jesus are helpless.
People without Jesus are sheep without a shepherd.
People without Jesus are people who need to be harvested.
We must feel as Jesus felt.
Jesus was moved deeply for lost people.
People won’t care about what you know until they know how much you care.
We must do as Jesus did.
Jesus saw every environment as an opportunity.
Jesus met people’s physical and spiritual needs.
A harvest requires a lot of work.
God has sovereignly ordained that saved people will have a part in saving people.
Proverbs 14:4
Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.
