I. Submissive & Humble in Relationships (5-7)
1 Peter 5:5-7 ESV
Be Subject: to honor, treat with deference and respect
Cf. 1 Thessalonians 5:12; Titus 3:1; Hebrews 13:7
Clothe yourself with humility toward one another: Mutual submission as a sign of spiritual maturity. The emphasis is on preparation for service.
Humility is the cure for worldliness (James 4:1-10)
1) Submit to God
2) Resist the Devil
3) Humble Yourself

II. Alert & Prepared for Battle (8-9)
1 Peter 5:8-9 ESV
Just because we are confident in God's grace does not mean that we should be careless in our lives. We must beware of spiritual drowsiness that renders us vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy.
III. Strengthened & Established in Christ (10-11)
1 Peter 5:10-11 ESV
Suffering is ubiquitous in the Christian faith.
God's purposes take time.
God's purposes are good.
God's grace is sufficient
God's glory is eternal.
God's dominion is forever.
IV. Empowered and Peaceful through the Gospel (12-14)
