Thanks for your generosity

Your giving supports God's Kingdom in Huber Heights. You enable the church to reach out and care for others.
2 Corinthians 9:7 says, “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
Your giving allows us to reach out with God's love into our community.

Women's Service Day at the Ronald McDonald House
Expand
The Women's group will be volunteering at the Ronald McDonald house on Saturday, Nov 4th. We need a group of 10 ladies to be onsite in the afternoon/early evening to prepare and serve a meal for the residents. We would also be collecting items to donate to the house from their wishlist. The list includes easy to prep food items and cleaning supplies. Items will be collected through October 29. There are copies of the wish list available in the foyer.
Crossroads Night Out
Expand
October 7 will be our next Crossroads Night Out. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and get to know each other. We will meet at Rapid Fire Pizza on Brandt Pike at 6:30 for dinner. At the end, if you would like to pitch in $5 we will pay for other people's meals.
Food for Huber
Expand
Each month we get the privilege of serving more than 100 families with food and prayer. Our Food for Huber Outreach takes place every third Saturday of the month at 10:30am. We meet at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Old Troy Pike.
E.M. Bounds,

"Every mighty move of the Spirit of God has had its source in the prayer chamber."
Prayer enables us to hear God’s voice.

The only way for us to learn God’s voice in the first place is to spend time in prayer.
Prayer realigns us with God’s will.

Prayer isn’t about getting our way, it is about realigning ourselves with the will of God.
Prayer changes God’s actions.

God doesn’t change…his character, his end design, that doesn’t change, but it doesn’t mean God’s actions never change.
Greg Boyd, in Across the Spectrum, writes,

“a great deal of what God does in the world is influenced by whether his people pray.”

“Scripture describes God’s character as unchanging (Mal 3:6), but it never teaches that God is unable to change in any respect (e.g., his intentions, experiences) … And it teaches that God sometimes chooses not to change his mind (Num 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29; Ezekiel 24:14; Zechariah 8:14) but never that he cannot change his mind.”
Prayer strengthens us for spiritual warfare.

C.H. Spurgeon said,

Prayer meetings were the arteries of the early church. Through them, life-sustaining power was derived.
