1 How lovely is your DWELLING PLACE,Lord Almighty!
2 My soul yearns, even faints,for the COURTS of the Lord;my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
3 Even the sparrow has found a home,and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young—a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God.
4 BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO DWELL IN YOUR HOUSE; they are ever praising you.
10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Psalm 122:1

1. The church isn’t a building!
2. You don't have to go to church to be saved.
3. You don't go to church because there are hypocrites there.
GOD IS A GOD OF PLACE
Deuteronomy 12:5-7
5 “But you shall seek THE PLACE where the Lord your GOD CHOOSES, out of all your tribes, to PUT HIS NAME FOR HIS DWELLING PLACE; and there you shall go.
6 THERE YOU shall take your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand, your vowed offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.
7 AND THERE you shall eat before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice in all to which you have put your hand, you and your households, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.

Genesis 28:10-19
10 Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran.
11 So he came to a CERTAIN PLACE and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of THAT PLACE and put it at his head, and he lay down IN THAT PLACE to sleep.
12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a LADDER was set up on the earth, and its top reached to HEAVEN; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
13 And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: “I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.
14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
15 Behold, I am with you and WILL KEEP YOU WHEREVER YOU GO, and will BRING YOU BACK to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”
16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is IN THIS PLACE, and I did not know it.”
17 And he was afraid and said, “HOW AWESOME IS THIS PLACE! This is none other than the HOUSE OF GOD, and this is the GATE OF HEAVEN!”
18 Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the STONE that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and POURED OIL ON TOP OF IT.
19 And he called the name of that place BETHEL...

1. THE HOUSE OF GOD IS THE PLACE WHERE HEAVEN AND EARTH COME TOGETHER
Matthew 16:18

2. THE HOUSE OF GOD IS THE PLACE OF DREAMS AND VISIONS
Acts 2:17
‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters SHALL PROPHESY, Your young men shall see VISIONS, Your old men shall dream DREAMS.

3. THE HOUSE OF GOD IS THE PLACE OF THE ANOINTING
Luke 4:18-19
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because HE HAS ANOINTED ME To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
