We continue this new series alongside our Growth Group experiment! When Jesus is looking for followers, he invites everyone! No prerequisites, no limitations. No matter who you are or what you've done, Jesus extends the same invitation to us all: come follow me!

After an exhaustive process, a select few would be invited to become disciples with the simple invitation, “Come… follow me…”
Everyone else was told, you clearly love God, but you’re not cut out to be a rabbi. Go home.
If there’s one thing that is at the core of Jesus’ life, one thing that sets him apart from every rabbi that ever lived, it’s his open invitation that says, “You are enough! Come follow me!"
For Jesus, there are no prerequisites. There are no necessary qualifications. You have nothing to prove to me. Let me prove something to you.
Jesus busts open the doors that people love to shut.
He refuses to label people the way we love to label.
He refuses to label people the way we love to label.
Jesus ministry was centered on the truth that your past did not have to define your future.
No matter how messed up you are, no matter what you’ve done, Jesus still believes in you. Jesus still calls you. He still longs for you to follow him.
When Jesus removed all prerequisites from following him, he also did something else: Jesus got rid of all excuses!
What’s your excuse been?
A rabbi would only pick a disciple who he thought could actually do what he was doing. And Jesus chose you.
