When you don’t understand the ways of God:
•Be a STUDENT: make your starting point the character of God (1:12-13)
•Be a REALIST:
•Be a LISTENER:
•Be RELIANT:
Make your starting point the character of God
•God rules over time (everlasting)
•God keeps his promises (LORD)
•God is strong on our behalf (my God)
•God is morally superior to us (holy)
•God is purposeful in his discipline (ordained & established)
When you don’t understand the ways of God:
•Be a STUDENT: make your starting point the character of God (1:12-13)
•Be a REALIST: don’t downplay the difficulty you’re about to go through (1:14-17)
•Be a LISTENER:
•Be RELIANT:

•You won’t remove your guilt by comparing yourself to others who have done greater wrong (1:13).
•You won’t stop the flow of chaos or evil in this world through human effort alone (1:14)

•Be a REALIST: don’t downplay the difficulty you’re about to go through (1:14-17)
•Be a LISTENER: avoid distractions; pay attention to what God is saying (2:1-3)
•Be RELIANT:
