MAKING SPACE--EPISODE 2

MAKING SPACE--EPISODE 2

October 2017 series: MAKING SPACE I pray this series will be the catalyst for you and I to intentionally step into the space of grace God gives every. single. day. The grace which takes space in us forms our identity, giving power to live beyond the hard, hope despite the hopelessness of situations, and a love which always wins. It’s said in I Corinthians 15:10, which I translate as a life-statement: “I am what I am by the grace of God.” Grace changes how you and I live. The power of grace frees us of strongholds, giving the courage and ability to step out of the realm from whatever and whoever has enslaved us. Grace is God’s favor, providing a daily opportunity to live the best life. BUT. (Yes, it’s a big BUT.) It doesn’t stop there. When grace is a key component of life, it’s generously given to others. Grace is an unexpected and undeserved gift. The thing is . . . the world is never the same . . . when space for grace is offered. Because. Grace is God’s MORE—Kerrie Sunday Service @ 10:30am @ 1219 3rd St Salem 97304 and a simultaneous podcast @ http://rdcsalem.com/ or @ https://www.facebook.com/rdcsalem/. What's up:
Today: The space of wonder and wait.

Key thought from conversation:
Making space to discern the difference between _______________ and _______________ is vital to live the best life.

Key God-word:
Acts 9 (VOICE)
9 Back to Saul—this fuming, raging, hateful man who wanted to kill every last one of the Lord’s disciples: he went to the high priest in Jerusalem 2 for authorization to purge all the synagogues in Damascus of followers of the way of Jesus. His plan was to arrest and chain any of Jesus’ followers—women as well as men—and transport them back to Jerusalem. 3 He traveled north toward Damascus with a group of companions.
Imagine this: Suddenly a light flashes from the sky around Saul, 4 and he falls to the ground at the sound of a voice.
The Lord: Saul, Saul, why are you attacking Me?
Saul: 5 Lord, who are You?
Then he hears these words:
The Lord: I am Jesus. I am the One you are attacking. 6 Get up. Enter the city. You will learn there what you are to do.
These are shocking, unexpected words that will change his life forever.
7 His other traveling companions just stand there, paralyzed, speechless because they, too, heard the voice; but there is nobody in sight. 8 Saul rises to his feet, his eyes wide open, but he can’t see a thing. So his companions lead their blind friend by the hand and take him into Damascus. 9 He waits for three days—completely blind—and does not eat a bite or drink a drop of anything.

<Think on these words from verse 6: Get up. Enter the city. You will learn there what you are to do.>

Philippians 1:6 (VOICE)
I am confident that the Creator, who has begun such a great work among you, will not stop in mid-design but will keep perfecting you until the day Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King, returns to redeem the world.

<Think on these words: I am confident the Creator . . . will keep perfecting you.>

The five things to remember when you process:
