Joyful Example
1. Be a good example (Philippians 3:17)
Imitate me in the way I follow Christ.
All believers should continuously put forth the effort to live for Christ.
While meeting together has changed for the church, the church has not changed.
What must change for you to confidently say, “Imitate me in the way I follow Christ”?
2. Don’t follow bad examples (Philippians 3:18-19)
Enemies of the cross will end in destruction.
Enemies of the cross follow their own desires, are not bothered by their behavior and value the things of this world.
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone for God’s glory alone.
What must change for you to confidently say, “My salvation is found in Jesus alone”?
3. Live as a citizen of heaven (Philippians 3:20 - 4:1)
We are a heavenly colony in a foreign land.
We continue looking eagerly forward to the return of our Savior.
Claiming heavenly citizenship while devoted to the things of this world is a contradiction in beliefs.
What must change for you to confidently say, “I stand firm in the Lord”?
