Some exciting changes are afoot here at the church! The consistory & staff received input from you on the church-wide survey, we prayed a bunch & we hear God’s leading us in this next chapter of our journey as a church community. It’s exciting and it requires us to TRUST God in the process.
WHY we are making changes?
*To give people back time to do discipleship at home.
*To foster more meaningful and deeper relationships through Sunday mornings and K-Groups.
*To invite, challenge & resource parents to be their kid's biggest influencers.
*To continually foster community through Sunday mornings and K-Groups.
*To be more efficient and effective with our limited time.
WHAT are the specific changes?
*Weekly communion on Sunday mornings.
*No weekly Wed. evening programming (Everything we do on Wednesday evenings will now be on Sunday mornings).
*Quarterly church-wide gatherings on Wed. nights. Next one is in December.
*We will be strengthening & Re-launching K-Groups in January.
*ONE 9am-Noon Sunday morning worship experience: One 9a Worship Service. 1015a Coffee Corner. 11a-Noon Discipleship Classes.

NEW! Three new check in kiosks with secure name-tag printing.

Jemo Partnership. If you sponsor a child, make sure to get your Christmas Cards to the church by Oct. 31st. Also, the next trip to Ethiopia is May 29th - June 4th. Interested in going or have any questions, contact Corrie Mayher.
Freedom Fellowship. A team heads to Mclaughlin, SD every second Sunday. They depart church 7a & return 130p. Interested? Contact Troy Gieser. Immediate Needs: feminine hygiene items, all sizes of kid’s underwear, beef jerky sticks. Drop off in foyer.
Jeanette Myhre Initiative. We are intentionally investing into Jeanette Myhre Elementary over the next 5-10 years. Here are a couple immediate ways you can get involved:
***Thanksgiving Meal is on Tue. Nov. 5th. 6p-8p. Need food & volunteers. Sign up at the service corner OR app.
***Day of Giving is on Fri. Dec. 13th. 9a-3p. Volunteer part or full day. Sign up at the service corner OR app.
***Be a Core Volunteer. Eat lunch, go to recess, help in classroom. Every Tue. OR Thu. from Noon-2p.

“K” in K-Groups stands for “Koinonia.” A Greek word that means a “deep sense of fellowship.” Our K-Groups are intended to be a place to welcome new people & to build lasting friendships. They are not solely a bible study, but a place where people find authentic community. They regularly meet with 5-30-ish people, share a meal, coffee, or something, and they engage weekly biblical content. Summed up: they SHARE time, meals & Jesus.
We will be re-launching our K-Groups in January. Right now, we need leaders to step up in two areas:
K-Group HOSTS. Those who like to organize where the group meets. A tasks-oriented person.
K-Group FACILITATORS. Those who like to direct discussion & group dynamics. A people-oriented person.
