22 Then came the Feast of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter,

23 and Jesus was in the temple area walking in Solomon's Colonnade.

24 The Jews gathered around him, saying, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly."

25 Jesus answered, "I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me,

26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep.

27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.

29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all ; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand.

30 I and the Father are one."
Memory Text - Daniel 2:20-21
Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.

Well, we’d love for you to join us for morning tea every Sunday at 11.30am over zoom. In just 30mins, we’ll enjoy time together, the chance to see one another, and reflections in small groups. In your prayers, do pray for the Age Care facilities around our State, and in particularly the Kirkbrae facility in Kilsyth, where there was an outbreak. It has been a distressing time for the residents, their families and the staff, and many have been evacuated. So please pray for the situation, that God may protect and comfort all those involved.

8. Helpful Resources and Conferences

9. YOSHi is Back!
YOSHi (Youth of Surrey Hills) is starting up again on Friday night. It’s a chance for all of our Year 7-12 youth to spend time together in fellowship, and to be fed by God’s Word. This term we’ll be doing a series called ’Tough Topics’ - we’ll consider some challenging questions like ‘Is there any proof for God?’ and ‘Do Science and Religion clash?’, as well as lots of other tough questions. We’d love to see you there.
With the restrictions being in place again, we’ll continue to meet via Zoom, at 7.30pm. For more information please email Oli at oliver.blythe@shp.org.au.

10. Invite a Friend to Church
While we are still meeting online, why don’t you consider taking every opportunity to invite your friends and family to join us for our Sunday service. There never has been an easier time. Just send them the link to our website www.shp.org.au, and church comes to them in the most unintimidating way, right into their lounge room.

11. Connect with us
If you are new and would like to find out more about Jesus, please get in touch with our pastor minister@shp.org.au.

12. Offering
It is important that we continue to be generous with all that God has given us. This time calls for generosity with our neighbours, those in need, and we want to continue to be generous towards the work of the gospel. If you are not already giving electronically, you can find the details below.

13. Meeting in triplets
would like to encourage you to meet in triplets to pray and share in fellowship. Many of you were a part of a triplet from Church Camp. If you are not in one but would like to, please let Michelle know, michelle.gerungan@shp.org.au.

14. Join a Growth Group
It is important that we take every opportunity to stay in fellowship and be nurtured by the Word of God, and spend time in prayer. Please stay connected. If you are not in a group, but would like to, please contact Grace ms.gwong@gmail.com.

15. Love your neighbours
Let this difficult season in Australian life be the season where we as Christians shine for the glory of God. Let us all be conscious of how our love for our community can reflect the love of Jesus for us. You may like to consider being in touch with your neighbours and offering help and service.

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;

6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;

7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9 But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall,

11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
