<b>Dinner With The Elders</b><br>You are invited to join the Elders for a pizza dinner at the church on Monday, May 2 from 5:30pm-6:30pm. If interested, please sign up on your connection card today! Space is limited to 12 adults.<br><br><b>National Day of Prayer</b><br>The National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 5. The Worship Center will be available from 12:00pm-1:00pm for a focused time of personal prayer. You can come and go as you need. There will be suggested guidelines for prayer available as you enter.<br><br><b>Recharge</b><br>Learn to walk, talk and treasure hunt like a pirate at the Recharge school for "good" pirates from 10:00am-11:30am Friday, May 6. Moms and their children, ages birth to kindergarten, are welcome to join us for songs, games, crafts and socialization. For more information, contact Lindsey Hilty at 513-371-3566.<br><br><b>Spring Cleaning</b><br>On Saturday, May 7 we need your help to do some Spring Cleaning at the church, both inside and out, from 9:00am-11:30am. We will have a list of things that need cleaning, sorting, trimming, and tossing. Since many hands make light work, we could really use your help! On Mother’s Day, <br>May 8, you can share your commitment to raising your child to become a Christ follower. If you are interested, please let us know by filling out your connection card, write “Dedication” on the card and drop it in the offering bucket or at guest center. You can also sign up online at https://hittheriver.com/events/child-dedication-service-050816<br><br><b>Gifts for Guatemala</b><br>The Guatemala mission team is collecting clothing and gifts to take to the mountain villages of Guatemala. Our goal is to give a gift to each hut as a blessing and to share God's goodness with them. Please see the mission wall to see what is needed. To sign up: take a tag, buy the gift, and return it unwrapped to The River by May 15. Gifts can be left by the Mission wall.<br><br><b>Guatemala Mission Trip Prayer Requests</b><br>The team will be spending the week of May 27-June 5 living in the mountains outside of Zacapa, Guatemala serving the local people however we can help. We plan on doing painting, plumbing, building beds and benches, and distributing gifts to the villagers. Weather permitting; a few will hike further into the mountains to meet another remote village. One day, the missionaries are taking us to sightsee in Antiqua. <br><br><i>Please pray for:</i><br>*Safety in another country<br>*Building relationships with the Guatemalan people<br>*Team unity between our church and the Faith In Action team<br>*Knowledge for the team to use their resources, skills, and time effectively<br>*Cooperative weather (the team is going in the rainy season)<br>*Continued fundraising for those who have more to raise<br><br><b>Becoming a Man of Influence</b><br>If you would like to learn how you can become a man of influence as a Christ follower with your family, friends and co-workers, consider joining us May 15 at 9:45am (during first service) downstairs in the High School (Fuel) room which will be led by Tyler Moore.<br><br><b>AA for Women</b><br>A new women’s AA group is meeting on Wednesdays at 12:00pm in the Overflow room at The River Church. The focus will be on the spiritual aspects of recovery. Any woman who has a problem with addictions or has loved ones with addictions are welcome. Contact Fran Davis at 513-504-5053 with any questions.<br><br><b>River Youth - New Parents Meeting</b><br>If you are a parent of a student who is in 5th grade, then we want to meet you! On Sunday, May 15, at 1:00 pm, we will be having an informational meeting about what The River Youth is, what we believe, and ways you can partner with us before your student joins us in June. We will be providing lunch so make sure to RSVP to Zach@HitTheRiver.com or fill out your connection card and let us know you are attending.<br><br><b>River Youth - Summer Parents Meeting</b><br>Calling all parents of students who are 6th-12th grade: this meeting is for you! Join us on Sunday, May 22 at 4:00 pm. We will be having an informational meeting about what The River Youth is going to be up to this Summer including upcoming events, series, and more! We hope to see you there!<br><br><b>River Youth BBQ Night</b><br>If you are a student in 6th-12th grade, come out to The River Church on Sunday, May 22 from 6:30pm-8:00pm for our annual BBQ Night. The cost of this event is FREE and will be an amazing opportunity for you and your friends to spend time with other students and celebrate the start of summer. If you would like to help contribute, all we ask is that girls bring a bag of chips to share and guys bring a drink to share.
