“You need to spend time crawling alone through shadows to truly appreciate what it is to stand in the sun.”
― Shaun Hick
We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (NIV)
We know that God is always at work for the good of everyone who loves him. They are the ones God has chosen for his purpose, Romans 8:28 (CEV)

We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Romans 8:22 (NIV)
1. Life is hard (v. 22)
2. God is good (v. 28)

“Our vision is so limited we can hardly imagine a love that does not show itself in protection from suffering.... The love of God did not protect His own Son.... He will not necessarily protect us - not from anything it takes to make us like His Son. A lot of hammering and chiseling and purifying by fire will have to go into the process.” ― Elisabeth Elliot
“Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind? John 9:2 (NLT)
Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? Luke 13:2 (NIV).
“When a blind man says, 'God is good,' this should be an eye-opener to those who can see.” ― Anthony Liccione
These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. Things that are seen don't last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. That's why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (CEV)
Life is hard.
God is good.
Just keep going.
Grace is greater.
