IT’S TIME FOR A NEW BEGINNING

Rosh HaShanah = “Head of the Year” a new year on God’s calendar.

· WEDNESDAY WE CELEBRATE 5778 ON GOD’S CALENDAR

Birthday of the World – considered the anniversary of the creation of the world when Adam & Eve were created and when we celebrate a New Beginning!

· Mo’edim = “appointed times”, “invitation”, “REHEARSAL”,

“Rhythm of God” that He sets up for us to meet with Him, not so that He can get something FROM us, but get something TO us!

· Last trump (shofar) - Rosh HaShanah

· Yom Teruah: The feast of trumpets (Shofar)

· Teruah literally means to make a loud noise or shout.

Leviticus 23:24

24 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.

· The trumpet (Shofar) is sounded to announce the coronation of the King of the Universe

1 Corinthians 15:51 NKJV

51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 NKJV

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Joshua 6:1-5 NKJV

Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. 2 And the Lord said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor. 3 You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days. 4 And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. 5 It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout(Teruah) with a great shout(Teruah); then the wall of the city will fall down flat. And the people shall go up every man straight before him.”

· When Joshua and the people shouted (Teruah) walls came down!

· On this New beginning as you shout, walls are going to come down.

· Walls that have kept you from possessing are coming down!

· Doors that have been inaccessible to you will be opened!

· This season is also known as when gates are opened!

Numbers 10:9-10

9 “When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm (loud noise) with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies. 10 Also in the day of your gladness, in your appointed feasts, and at the beginning of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be a memorial for you before your God: I am the Lord your God.”

Numbers 23:19-21

19 “God is not a man, that He should lie,Nor a son of man, that He should repent.Has He said, and will He not do?

Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

20 Behold, I have received ;He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it. 21 “He has not observed iniquity in Jacob,Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel.The Lord his God is with him, And the shout(Teruah) of a King is among them.
