Out of Focus

Passion wanes and vision fades. What we were once so zealous about can easily become overlooked if we stop being intentional. When we stop paddling, we are carried along by the current. So often we get sidetracked by the lesser things in life, and our lives get out of focus. The things that sidetrack us are often not bad in and of themselves; however, as they become the center focus of our lives, everything becomes blurry as we find ourselves fixated on the temporal. We miss the big picture and begin to drift. With Christ at the center, Paul longs to know Christ more and more and runs the race with endurance to grab hold of that for which Christ grabbed hold of Him. Let’s follow the lead of Paul and refocus on Christ and His cross this fall.
