Reopening RiverBank Kids- 9:45 am service
We are excited to reopen children’s ministry for K-5 students during the 9:45 am service (ONLY) beginning on August 9th. While we would love to welcome all kids, we are working around several limitations at this time: COVID-19 concern, limited volunteers, and our lower level at the church being very much under construction due to the flood in the spring. Things will look a bit different. Here is what to expect:

· Registration will be required and space will be limited. Register your family each week at hittheriver.com
· Your family will check-in together for service.
· At check-in, kids will be given preprinted name tags and parent tags. Kids will also have their temperature checked.
· Kids will remain with their family until worship (music) has concluded and will be dismissed to the lobby where they will be greeted by the RiverBank Kids team.
· Kids will be required to wear a mask and will be socially distanced in the classroom. We will be using what was the toddler room until the elementary space is made available downstairs.
· Kids will enjoy a socially distanced lesson, craft and game. If time and weather permit, we will take the kids outside (behind the building) to play (masks may be removed for outdoor play).
· We will Zoom with families at home during the teaching portion of our time together. The Zoom link will be in your weekly RBKids email. Also, curriculum links will still be emailed to families every Sunday morning at 8:00 am, so that kids can enjoy the same lesson content that we will be offering at church.

Backpack Blessing- August 9th
We will not be asking kids to bring their backpack with them this year, but we are still looking forward to praying over the kids as they prepare for a new (and maybe very different) school year. Each child will receive a goodie bag and a new backpack tag. Kids who are not able to join us on Sunday are encouraged to pick theirs up anytime throughout the week by stopping by the church, starting on August 9th.

River Youth- Water Wars August 9
Students in 6th-12th grade are invited to join us for the River Youth’s annual Water Wars event. The night will involve all kinds of water related games/competitions for students to enjoy. We will also be bringing back the giant slip n slide this year! It will be so much fun that you won’t want to miss. If you have any questions contact Zach@HitTheRiver.com.

Cultivating Prayer - Family
For the month of August, the Intercession Prayer Team will be posting weekly fun prayer activities that you can do with your families. This is a great way to begin the school year on a positive note with prayer.

Israel Trip 2020
Visit Israel December 1-8, 2020 with Pastor Brad & Heidi! Walk where Jesus walked in Jerusalem. Be baptized in the Jordan River. Go out on the Sea of Galilee. If you’re married, renew your marriage vows in Cana. There’s a brochure on the credenza in the lobby with more information or talk to Pastor Brad and Heidi.
I will do my part to keep harmony with other Christ-followers.
