Chapter 2 concludes that all the answers offered by the World, human wisdom and religion are of “no value” in becoming new – I think we need to come to this place in our hearts
If the life you are living is the one Christ gave you through the power of His Resurrection
If you are living your life with Christ. If your life is in Jesus Christ:
· Seek the things that are above with Christ
· Set your mind on the things above
The Simple Questions: What is your “seek” and what is your “set”?
The pattern of this world or the image revealed by the Spirit of Christ.
The “Peace of Christ” and the “Word of Christ” lead us to a new Genesis:
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father – Colossians 3:17
The new person I am “is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created” me - “Christ is all, and in all” Colossians 3:10-11
Whatever I do in word or deed, I am going to do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father (Personalized)
The new life is about fruitfulness – God says the same thing to this creation that he did to the first:
“Be fruitful and multiply”
We will see fruit in our lives - The fruit of the Spirit
We will see fruit in the lives of others also
