The Issue of MOTIVE

Are your motives pure for using social media?

But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. (1 Timothy 1:5)

Are you seeking to glorify God through using social media?

Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)

Are most of your posts about your blog, business or ministry?

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:3-4)
The Issue of MOVEMENT

Does social media lead you into sin?

If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. (Matthew 5:29)

Does social media produce unhealthy relationships in your life?

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” (1 Corinthians 15:33)

Does social media get in the way of your relationship with God?

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ (Matthew 22:36-37)

Does social media get in the way of your relationship with family?

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. (John 13:34)
The issue of MASTERY

Is social media your master?

All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything. (1 Corinthians 6:12)

Does your use of social media help you to redeem the time?

Making the most of your time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:16)

Does social media make you a healthier, more productive person?

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. (Deuteronomy 6:5)
The Issue of MISSION

Do people see the light of Jesus based on your social media usage?

Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

How to let your light shine on social media:
Check in when you come to church
Bible verses
“I’m praying for you”
Inspirational quotes
Invites to church
Parts of your story

Do you share the Gospel in your social media usage?

I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some. (1 Corinthians 9:22b)

Online Giving
