Can you relate to this story?
-we limp between Jesus and other things
-sometimes we follow Jesus and other times we follow something else
-what keeps us from being only followers of Jesus?
-what keeps us from walking away from Jesus?
Why do we stay silent?
-the people in this story were silent when Elijah asked them this question
-why do we stay silent when we think about this question?
-do you struggle with what is true?
-do you struggle with what you might have to give up?
-do you struggle with who you would become?
-is it not that important to you?
What decided it for the people in 1 Kings?
-they saw what God did and it was clear to them
-have you seen what God did for you?
-it was much more than fire from the sky
-he provided a way for things to be right between you and him
-that way is Jesus
What should our response be?
-the people in 1 Kings fell to their faces before God
-they recognized and admitted who he was
-gave up whatever was coming between them and him

-what is stopping you from fully following Jesus?
