INTERRUPTED (Episode 4)

INTERRUPTED (Episode 4)

CONVERSATION FOR JULY 2017: INTERRUPTED Interruptions change the flow of life, requiring energy and time. It’s difficult, if, not impossible to balance interruptions. Sometimes interruptions are so stinking big that nothing on the list compares or seems to matter. The thing is . . . some interruptions are deeply disturbing . . . while others are AMAZING. There’s an element of insanity to the way interruptions abruptly change everything. The pressure of it all worsens when the guilt of not completing the list comes knocking on the door. So here’s the thing . . . Interruptions require grace as much for ourselves as others. Most interruptions require us to simplify and take something off the list. Some interruptions require an overhaul of life. Because. Life is not about doing it all. It’s beyond unreasonable to think and do otherwise. While there’s a long list of ways to respond rather than to react when interruptions enter in, remember this today: Be confident God will use the interruption in the most creative ways to bring good from it. This truth is not just a greeting-card-good-luck-charm–this is to be underlined deep in the soul: We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan (Romans 8:28, Voice). KEY GOD-WORD for the INTERRUPTED series:
We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan (Romans 8:28, Voice).

Today's Key God-Word:
Isaiah 61:3 (VOICE)
God has sent me to give them a beautiful crown in exchange for ashes,
To anoint them with gladness instead of sorrow,
to wrap them in victory, joy, and praise instead of depression and sadness.
People will call them magnificent, like great towering trees
standing for what is right.
They stand to the glory of the Eternal
who planted them.
Luke 4:14-21(VOICE)
14 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Holy Spirit, and soon people across the region had heard news of Him. 15 He would regularly go into their synagogues and teach. His teaching earned Him the respect and admiration of everyone who heard Him.
16 He eventually came to His hometown, Nazareth, and did there what He had done elsewhere in Galilee—entered the synagogue and stood up to read from the Hebrew Scriptures.
17 The synagogue attendant gave Him the scroll of the prophet Isaiah, and Jesus unrolled it to the place where Isaiah had written these words:
18 The Spirit of the Lord the Eternal One is on Me.
Why? Because the Eternal designated Me
to be His representative to the poor, to preach good news to them.
He sent Me to tell those who are held captive that they can now be set free,
and to tell the blind that they can now see.
He sent Me to liberate those held down by oppression.
19 In short, the Spirit is upon Me to proclaim that now is the time;
this is the jubilee season of the Eternal One’s grace.[a]
20 Jesus rolled up the scroll and returned it to the synagogue attendant. Then He sat down, as a teacher would do, and all in the synagogue focused their attention on Jesus, waiting for Him to speak. 21 He told them that these words from the Hebrew Scriptures were being fulfilled then and there, in their hearing.

Key Word:
Transformation.

RDC's keys:
The key to the meaning of life is living in a relationship with God and one another.
The key to living the best life is to be equipped to respond.
The key to living with purpose is to reach out to others, doing what matters, and making a difference.

It’s THE RED DOOR COMMUNITY CHURCH mission:
UNITE, EQUIP, and UNLEASH in Christ.
UNITE with God and one another. (Relationship)
EQUIP each person to live the best life. (Response)
UNLEASH the church to impact the world. (Reach)
