7 core beliefs that every Muslim must accept

• Belief in God, who in Arabic is named Allah

5 Pillars of Islam

• Affirmation (Shahada)

• Consistent recitation of, and belief in the creed that “there is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger.”

Differences

God

• While Muslims and Christians both believe in 1 true God, Muslims would declare that the God of the Bible revealed as Yahweh is not God. Their god is known as Allah.

• Muslims to this day believe that Christians don’t realize that we are worshiping not 1, but 3 Gods.

• Muslims do not reject the person of Jesus, but instead fully embrace him as a prophet of Allah, whose sadly been misrepresented to the Christian world as God in flesh.

• They do not believe Jesus ever claimed to be God, nor do they believe the accounts of the 4 Gospels.

• On a human level, Muhammad is taught to be far greater than Jesus.
