What's Your One Thing?
What's your 'go to' thing that makes life work for you? We all want to be happy, successful and fulfilled. We have been created for a perfect life. We have a perfect Creator who designed us for relationship with Him forever in perfection. While we live in an imperfect world, there are plenty of products or philosophies proposing to provide a more perfect life for us. They are all simply wanna-be gospels.
Christians in the ancient city of Colossae were confused with Gnosticism's attempt to improve on the gospel of Jesus. Gnosis is the Greek word for "knowledge." Gnostics believed the perfect God created lesser gods to communicate with humans and that the way to get the perfect life from the perfect god was through learning special mystery ideas from the lesser gods until you reached the perfect god.
Still today people add popular ideas to the Gospel message that are simply wanna-be messages. God spoke through the apostle Paul's letter to the Colossians to clarify the true, simple Gospel.

Clarify Your Experience
There are moments in life to which we respond, "What just happened?" Examples include an unexpected promotion, a pronouncement of marriage or the negative results of a medical exam. They change our life and experience whether or not we feel any immediate or even longer term difference.
Receiving the Gospel transfers us into a new kingdom whether or not we feel it. We no longer have a life of darkness no matter what happens. The Gospel transfers us into the kingdom of light. There is no possible something better. This transference happens by the declaration of God and not by what we do. We access God's grace by faith. We believe and follow. God gives us the gift of perfect life to begin now and to be fulfilled in eternity.
