One of the ways for you to know how much you understand grace and how much you live by grace is to pay attention to your giving.

The word "grace" is used 8 times in 2 Corinthians chapters 8-9, it's all around the subject of giving.

Greek word is "charis"

khar'-ece

From G5463; graciousness (as gratifying), of manner or act, especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude): - acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy).

Giving According to Grace

1. Giving is a outward manifestation of God's grace in our lives. 2 Cor. 8:1-3 NKJV

2. Giving is the privilege and responsibility of fellowship with others. 2 Cor. 8:4 NKJV

3. Giving involves one's self before one's substance. 2 Cor. 8:5-7 NKJV

4. Giving is a sincere proof of one's love. 2 Cor. 8:8 NKJV "You can love without giving, but you cannot give without loving."

5. Giving should be governed by the principle of equality. 2 Cor. 8:8-15 NKJV

6. Your sowing patterns are connected to your reaping patterns. 2 Cor. 9:6 NKJV

7. Giving is voluntary worship from a cheerful heart. 2 Cor. 9:7 NKJV

8. Giving guarantees the provision of God in your life. 2 Cor. 9:8 NKJV

9. Giving is an act of faithful worship which results in acts of righteousness. 2 Cor. 9:10-11 NKJV

10. Giving glorifies God before others as a tangible testimony of the gospel. 2 Cor. 9:12 NKJV
This will require a unified body of believers to have one heart and one soul so that God's great grace will rest upon us all. Notice after they became unified, God's great grace came upon them and they started sharing and giving.

Why Baptism?

Baptized (Greek) baptizo

To make fully wet, to submerge.

It is an outward sign of the inward grace of salvation. Water does not save, must already be saved to be water baptized.

1. It's a command from the Father (The Great Commission).

Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV
[18] And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. [19] Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, [20] teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

2. It's an act of obedience (Jesus being our example).

Matthew 3:13-17 NKJV
[13] Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. [14] And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?" [15] But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him. [16] When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. [17] And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

Back 2 School Rally - Sunday, July 23rd

Linked UP Church will be blessing children and youth from LUC and the community that are in need with backpacks filled with school supplies.
The school supply giveaway will take place immediately following service on Sunday, July 23rd.

To register yourself or a family you know that may be in need stop by the Hotspot Table. You must be present on July 23rd to receive the school supply items.
