Worship Service Registration
Services on site have resumed, and we are so excited to be back with you all. Please go to hittheriver.com , under the events tab, and register for the service you would like to attend. We are offering 3 service times at 8:30am, 9:45am, and 11:15am. If you would rather watch online, all 3 services will be streaming live on our facebook page. Check out facebook.com/hittheriver
River Youth Bonfire-July 12th
We are inviting students in 6th-12th grade to a bonfire on July 12th at The River Church’s new fire pit behind the worship center. We will be doing aluminum foil campfire meals (under the supervision of our adult volunteers) and s’mores together too. We will be continue to use social distancing, sanitization stations, and hygienic food prep to keep things safe for all students who join us. We are looking forward to the awesome evening with students and their friends. Contact Zach@HitTheRiver.com if you have any questions.
Anchored at-Home Virtual VBS- July 20, 22, and 24
Grab your neighbors, friends, and family and make a splash with the ultimate at-home Vacation Bible School! During Anchored VBS, kids embark on an undersea adventure, diving deeper in their faith and discovering the unwavering love of God! Pick up all of the supplies that you will need at the church anytime between July 17-20. We will meet each day (July 20, 22, and 24) on Zoom for worship, videos, lesson, and more from 7:00—7:45pm. American Heritage Girls (AHG)
AHG is a biblical scout group to encourage girls to grow into women for God. Our Troop welcomes girls grades K-12. We meet September-May the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at the church, while still doing a fun activity and service project each month. During the summer months, we meet once a month for a fun activity to stay connected. We will be having an ice cream social outside, on July 21, from 6:00-8:00pm. Sleep in Heavenly Peace
The River Church is committed to being sure no kids sleep on the floor through our partnership with SHP. We are doing a “build day” on Saturday, August 8th from 8 am – 12. Work stations will be spread out for social distancing and we are having family members work together.
You can register to volunteer beginning this Wednesday at HitTheRiver.com ALSO, financial donations are needed. The cost per bed is $350. Beginning Wednesday you can give online and use the dropdown list to designate a gift to SHP. In addition, The River donates a children’s Bible to every family in Butler County that receives a bed!
Cultivating Prayer - Family
God’s Word says that we should pray for our government leaders. “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2. Talk with your families about this verse this week.
Israel Trip 2020
Visit Israel December 1-8, 2020 with Pastor Brad & Heidi! Walk where Jesus walked in Jerusalem. Be baptized in the Jordan River. Go out on the Sea of Galilee. If you’re married, renew your marriage vows in Cana. There’s a brochure on the credenza in the lobby with more information or talk to Pastor Brad and Heidi.
